Illustrated How to Request Books
How to Request books from the UNC Libraries be delivered to Kenan –Flagler Business School and the McColl Building
Go to the UNC Online catalog https://catalog.lib.unc.edu/?tab=advanced
Type all or part of the title of the book you want in the search box
Use the pull down menu to the right and select “in Title “
Click on the “magnifying glass” button
A list of books with the words you typed in the title will appear (There may be more than one).
Click on “Request” link on the right hand side of the screen.
Enter your Onyen and password in the appropriate boxes and click on the “Login” button
A screen will come up with a form that is mostly filled out with the book title and author and other important information
.Use the pull down menu next to Select Pickup location to choose Kenan-Flagler (McColl 4502)
.Click on Submit Request button
An acknowledgement screen will come up. Your most recent delivery request will be the last item under “Outstanding Requests.”
Be sure to click on the logoff link at the top right of this screen when you are done..
The book will be delivered to David Ernsthausen’s office (Room 4502) in the McColl Building usually in 2 to 3 business days.
David will send you an email when the book arrives and you can go by his office to pick it up. When you come he will need your UNC ID and / or UNC PID number to complete the check out process.
You may return the book to his office when you are done with it or you may return it to Davis Library if you are on the main part of campus whichever is more convenient for you.
