RePEc together with IDEAS (Internet Documents in Economics Access Service), is a collaborative effort of hundreds of volunteers in more than 80 countries to enhance the dissemination of research in economics. The heart of the project is a decentralized database of working papers, books, book chapters, journal articles and software components. Any institution is welcome to join in contributing its research materials. There are currently more than 1.9 million items.
