U.S. Census Bureau Economic Programs Overview

Describes Census Bureau “programs” that provide statistics about U.S. businesses and governments. In Census jargon “programs” are are major data collection and reporting operations. All active “programs” are included along with discontinued “programs” of continuing interest. Each “program” description includes a statement of the PURPOSE, COVERAGE who or what the data is collected on, CONTENT what data is collected, FREQUENCY and METHODS of data collection, PRODUCTS and reports produced, possible USES of the data, and SPECIAL FEATURES of the program, and a link to any RELATED PROGRAMS. There is also a link to data products or reports the program publishes often in electronic downloadable form. Some “programs” are funded by other agencies or sponsors.
